children's ministry

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

OUR NAME

The Children's Ministry at Zion Baptist Church is anchored by this verse of scripture. We believe our children can set an amazing example in their faith and truly change the world. Each program and event provided for Children is a Bible-based curriculum designed to help children learn about God and how to apply that knowledge to their lives. Our programs are led by dedicated Christian teachers that realize this responsibility is not only biblical but crucial to the future of our children and their soul. We have no higher priority than leading children to a closer relationship with Christ. We teach biblical based lessons on listening, honoring, obeying, and living for Christ. In every interaction, we will strive to present scripture, and particularly the gospel, with crystal clarity on a level understandable to each child.

OUR PURPOSE

The ZBC Children's Ministry's purpose is to make church a place where children want to be! Our programs are engaging, exciting, and fun while being instructive and inspirational for each child. We believe that each parent, or guardian, is vital in this ministry to your child. We choose to partner with the parents welcoming them to participate, observe, and lead their children in and out of church. We provide home leadership workshops, take home bible lessons, age specific Christian encouragement media, and various other information to support the spiritual development of the child and family. Our ultimate goal is to not only lead children but also their families to Christ.
